They think about their talent, rank, popularity & so many things. Especially media men always try to present new thing because fans can only know about NBA through media.
During the time of 5o th celebration of NBA in 96-97 fans voters were asked to make top 10 basketball coaches in the history of NBA without ranking them. So more than hundreds of media fans selected 10 lucky coaches of all the time of the history of the NBA. It was selected by the media members who always cover the NBA. About 33 coaches competed in 7500 regular session. About 10 coaches were selected collectively.
Selected top 10 NBA coaches are Lenny Wilkins, Pat Riley, Jack Ramsay, Don Nelson, John Kundla, Phil Jackson, Red Holzman, Bill Fitch, Chuck Daly, & Red Auerbach.
Lenny Wilkens was the coach of the year in 1993 to 1994. He was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of fame in 1990. Recently he has been selected one of 50 greatest players in the NBA.
Pat Riley achieved 800th career win on Nov -2. As a coach, he got the victory in 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988. He was coach of the year in 1989-90, 1992-93, and 1996-97.
Jack Ramsay served 20 years as head coach in NBA. He coached in 1976-1977. He was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992.
Don Nelson served in NBA as head coach for 20 years with Milwaukee, Golden State, New York & Dallas. He served for 3 sessions as a coach in 1982-83, 1984-85, and 1991-92. His club has recorded nine 50-plus win seasons & seven divisional championships.
